At my first follow up with my surgeon after my aortic valve replacement, he said I was looking a little pale. He then said “go eat a steak please!”

It is pretty amazing how heart medicine is these days. I had open heart surgery when I was 9 years old, pretty brutal in those days. Then 2 years ago I had to have my aortic valve and root replaced. Recovery wasn’t near as bad as I expected it might be and so much easier than it was in the 70’s!
