I'm retired and a proud parent, grandparent who has been a progressive liberal Democrat for over 50 years.
I know/knew several Kansas farmers. They are some of the most candidly honest and honorable people you'll ever meet. A person's word as their bond means the world to them. And once they're screwed over, that tie is severed, in some cases permanently.
They certainly will not forget come midterms.
