I don’t disagree with any of that.

My point is more general, that it is the modern way to blame the vehicle or the platform rather than the perpetrator.

Only users send abusive tweets. People buy junk food from McDonalds. If the police or social service mess up, we blame them, not the murderer.

Twitter has become more of a cesspit for a long time, well before Musk bought it.

I don’t think the problem is the platform, it’s the users.

Let’s not kid ourselves that those users won’t find their way over here one day.

Surely the whole problem with social media is that it's an echo chamber. People become entrenched in their views because they kid themselves that 'everyone' has the same view as them?

I think I heard the first ones on 26th October.
