again you’ll have to forgive me if I’m misunderstanding you here, but I’m unsure what the issue with having Gon’s mother figure just be a good mom is. You don’t need every character to be this super plot relevant over arching thing. for The opposite end look at Bisky, Komugi, pakunoda, machi, etc.

youll have to excuse me if I’m misremembering but I don’t really recall much of anything in HxH being misogynist. Pretty much every female character is presented well and aren’t weak.
