My UNDERTALE memory: "UNDERTALE cheered me up while I was dealing with some difficult health problems. Its soundtrack inspired me to get back into music as a hobby and learn more about music theory." There is also a rough-looking UNDERTALE-style talksprite that I drew myself. It's an owl's face wearing glasses with green frames, smiling with its mouth open.

I have the camera zoomed in on the Red Prince, who is facing to the right. He stands maybe about a head taller than a human. All four party members are wearing glowing blue collars around their necks. In the background directly behind Red Prince, Beast is in "sneak mode," completely hidden under a large rock disguise about the size and shape of a human. It looks like a normal rock you would see in the game's environment. Ifan and Fane are also standing nearby, but are not sneaking. In a second screenshot from the same viewpoint, the Red Prince has also gone into sneak mode, disguising himself with the same rock model as Beast. Beast is standing close enough to him to reveal a white silhouette of Red Prince's model underneath the rock. In order for the Red Prince to fit inside the rock, his limbs have been collapsed into his torso, while his neck has been bent forward to the point that his head is looking straight down. His lizard tail is flat on the ground, peeking out from under the rock.

Here are some indie games I played this year that weren't in my top 5 most played, in order of when I finished them:
Pseudoregalia (beat last year, but replayed for the new update),
It Comes in Waves,
Super Lesbian Animal RPG (it's on Steam, but I bought it on Itch),
and Judero.

I beat EarthBound Beginnings (Mother 1).

Yes, it's difficult, grindy, and rough going back to if you've played its sequel first. However, this game has plenty of the charm, weirdness, humor, and heart that the series is known for. Give it a chance and let it surprise you.
