Unfortunately there are many places where one team getting specialist training results in other SCs not getting any development. I have also seen an SC traffic team get trained on one aspect, and keeping it quiet because they had spaces and didn't want to share.

Having worked at different postings , I agree that each posting requires a slightly different mix, but the basics are the same wherever you are. I also disagree with specialist teams where it is at the expense of everyone else. Seen that first hand, and it cause resentment even between SCs and Regs.

I see some pockets of improvements, but how are SCs in the more distant places where they could make a huge difference?
How many SCs in places like Campbeltown, Peterhead or Stornoway where they're likely to have a greater impact than a couple of extras on a Saturday in Glasgow?
