Unless that screen time is used on Photoshopping images of your family life

It was always in English, actually!

For me the issue here isn't that someone's tried to rip off Animal Crossing yet again, it's that these games keep happily wandering onto console digital stores when any content moderator with the slightest shred of gaming knowledge should be able to say "wait a minute"

I don't know if the mouse necessarily sold badly, I'm just assuming that Mario & Wario sold badly because the potential customer base was only players who had the mouse, and obviously not all of them will have bought it. So it would have been a fraction of a fraction

At the time most Nintendo games were released in Japan first, so my guess is that it sold badly there (because it required the mouse, which hardly anyone had) so they just decided it wasn't worth the effort

When Switch 2's mouse controls were confirmed and people started thinking Mario Paint, I started thinking Mario & Wario instead.

Delighted to see another Mario game being removed from the Japan-only list ❤️

Was disappointed earlier when Jason was confirmed for Call of Duty because I don't play that. Will be all over the Fortnite one, and Ghostface too.

Good, because this character assassination would have killed him

Also, not that it means anything but one of the shots in that Maybe Pikmin Movie video still has the filename in the corner, doesn't give anything away, just a funny error

Pikmin in the background (half speed then normal speed)
scully1888.bsky.social
There's a hidden Pikmin that runs under the bed too, so now I'm leaning that way

You also ask why I didn't call him a "neo-Nazi" in the story. You can call him that all you like on here when it's not your job but when our site deals wholly facts, that's legally actionable if we call him that in our story. And I'm pretty sure he can afford the legal fees.
scully1888.bsky.social
Thank you, I'm glad you like them!

And the context in the story is that Microsoft has also shown its hand with AI-generated games, and the reaction was mainly negative.

I could write 5,000 words on Musk and all the shit he's done but everyone knows how they feel by now. The news here is that he thinks he's going to make a game now.
scully1888.bsky.social
I'm far from Elon Musk's biggest fan - the guy's a fucking maniac in my opinion (hardly a hot take, I know). But ever since VGC started, our job has been straight news. We report what was said and what happened, and the reader draws their own opinion from it. Not one word in that article is false.
scully1888.bsky.social
Believe it or not, we're not actually allowed to make up quotes. The story is that he said something so yes, I'm going to have to go with "Musk said" when covering it.

To be fair, it's frankly bizarre that your sticking point here appears to be the fact that I'm accurately quoting someone.

It's one of the most controversial people in the Western world pledging commitment to one of the most controversial developments in video game creation. It's clearly newsworthy.

We didn't report on the stuff you listed because we're a video game news website.

Also, reporting is not endorsing.
scully1888.bsky.social
No, I'm a video game journalist reporting on something that was said about video games?
