So yeah.. with ALL this build-up? Not only does it make a lot of sense for him to return, it would also be INCREDIBLY disatisfying if he doesn’t.

Bring him back one more time to complete all this, and I’ll be fully satisfied. Zero complaints.

The movies have already done this, and would continue to do so.

Only thing is that Ivo is essentially the second main character of these movies and we see him evolve, just like Sonic.

In movie 2, Robotnik was the main antagonist, BUT, Knuckles was the primary antagonist. Most of the plot revolved around him and his lore, and he was Sonic’s main adversary.

Each movie have had 2 antagonist. Main antagonist and primary antagonist.

Robotnik however? He’s OBSESSED with Sonic. They even said as much in movie 2. "Think about it, I live rent-free in this dude’s head."

If anyone is crazy enough and obsessed with Sonic enough to make a robot that looks like Sonic? It’s him.

Agent Stone? He’s never been shown to know how to build Eggman robots, and suddenly he can build something way more complex? And why would he even make it look like Sonic? Not Eggman?

Rockwell? Again, why make it look like Sonic? G.U.N. is more about military stuff not crazy egg tech.

You have ANY ideas how satisfying this all would be? By movie 4, he will have done all the stuff the character is known for! Mech, badniks, Eggmobiles, Gerald, Eggman empire and Metal Sonic! His return would make things feel complete!

How can I be sure? Because of Metal Sonic. He’s not in the style if the drones. He’s GAME ACCURATE. And not only that, but the concept art shows that in movie 4, we could get the EGGMAN EMPIRE!

A slow transition between fusion Robotnik and game Eggman. He’s starting to get fatter and gets the game suit in the climax.

This is also how the "death" works.

Robotnik "dies" so he can be reborn as "Eggman."

And in movie 3… That’s more or less the same Robotnik. He still wears that coat for the most part, and still utilizes the fusion robots. It’s all a mix of movie 1 with game elements.

However.. movie 3 also serves as a transition..

In movie 2, he resembles game Eggman more, but he’s more of a fusion between movie 1’s Robotnik and game Eggman. It’s very apparent in the coat, and his robots and tech are a fusion of game badniks and movie 1’s Egg drones.

Movie 1’s Robotnik, he barely resembles the character. And his robots aren’t even game badniks.

He’s a "Proto-Robotnik". A government scientist.

I’ve seen some people say that movie 3 had a good send-off for him, and.. while I can kinda understand.. I ultimately think it would be a disappointment and make his parts in the previous movies feel like a waste. How come? Well..

TBF, the movies kinda mix different games together to make a new kind of story out of it.

First one had elements from at least 7-8 Mario games, as well as DK Country.

But I am curious how they're even gonna top things with a third movie..
