The VP of the US can give a speech saying no one has to be ashamed to be white anymore — the type of mainstream political speech we haven’t seen since before the civil rights acts, and the rhetoric is treated as merely divisive with few pointing out the obvious truth that white men remain in power.

If you are a non-white person, you have the right to feel threatened by any and all federal personnel, especially armed military walking down the street. You know that is true. So let's not pretend this is OK on any level. Being angry is a perfectly logical response to a fascist operation. Get real.
