My plan for 29 involved a -4 with Cunha so it was either take the hit now or then. Just seemed more fun to get him this week despite low odds of a return.

Already done Rogers > Dango. Contemplating Ndiaye > Cunha for a -4 which seems silly but it’s a hit now for him or a hit in 29 and I’d rather play him than Myko this week.

Late hit in 25 for Gakpo>AM Slot paid off in the end. Hurt by Wood goals though (again).

I wish I’d held on the Gakpo in transfer for this reason. But I had a 4 planned and just did it all in one hit. Bit silly really. It would be a -4 for me but I still think it’s viable.

Are you taking a -4 to do it? That’s why I didn’t consider it in my initial thoughts as I was writing off a score of 4 for him vs the minus. You’re tempting me again now!

True. I was basing my thoughts on it being Ndiaye and him getting 4 across the double as a worst case.

But I still don’t like it. Firstly because I hate taking hits and secondly because I prefer the look of an Emery AM next week if they double.

The ones from my response before that. If Slot returns his average score over 4 gws it’s 36 vs 26 Gakpo, which wipes out the -4 (albeit only marginally). I know looking at average scores isn’t ideal but that’s the best I could do in my head whilst walking the dog earlier 🙂

That said I have Gakpo, Mo and TAA and agree it’s crazy to do -4 to get Slot 🙂 but numbers suggest that, even with a -4, it makes sense.

Gakpo averages 6.5pts in last 10 gws. Slot 8pts over first 23 gws. Worst case Slot is prob 2 wins 1 loss (assuming they also don’t get the 2nd dgw) which would net minimum 14 pts vs Gakpo consistent at 6.5 for 19-20. Slot almost certainly outscores Gakpo over the 3 and by a margin if they get 4.

Couldn’t agree more. A chip should never involve a compromise. I wanted triple Liverpool this gw, so then it becomes a toss up between the two. Imagine chipping and ending up worse off than if you hadn’t? (Appreciate that can happen with FH!)
