Must have regular Ocean/Nature/Science/Photo/Art/Politics/History/Trivia fixes
This relationship is like hitting your head against a brick wall - it will be nice when it stops.
Sister you have to lighten your load.
Move to an apartment a lot closer to your work commute timewise -
Just do it without him
good partners lift you up not drag you down.

By 2035–2040, Japan will field conventional submarines with the endurance & sprint performance of today’s 8,000-ton nuclear boats, at 1/3 the cost & w/o the political/ecological baggage of uranium.

Nice one!

100s of saved tons translate directly to more powerful electric motors, extra torpedoes & missiles, cutting-edge sensors, or greater crew comfort while carrying 2X the energy or 2X the weapons.

Solid-state cells weigh roughly one-third as much, generate 40 % less heat, & eliminate 1/2 the cooling systems. Result = faster, stealthier hull that can travel thousands of kilometers w/o ever breaking the surface.
December 4, 2025 at 11:53 AM
The leap is staggering. A 4,000 ton conventional submarine will patrol for 40 to 60 days w/o surfacing, sprint 20 knots+ for hours on end, & do it all more quietly than many nuclear subs, thanks to being significantly lighter & running solely on battery power.

Today Toyota & Panasonic are leading the global race in solid-state batteries, with prototypes arriving in 2027–2028, mass production 2030+, & Japan’s next submarine class will be the 1st, either pure battery form or as a hybrid with a small reactor for onboard recharging. A bit like China's

Japan has just rendered an entire generation of conventional submarines obsolete, & the world hasn’t fully realized it yet.

The Taigei class & its lithium-ion batteries Tokyo set a new benchmark: up to 3 weeks submerged without ever raising a snorkel. That, however, was merely the opening act.

This is revenge served ice cold.
Truly, deliciously, "evil"
I am glad I have never had occasion to need this, but I will remember it to give as advice if needed.
I laughed when I read it - probably an sinister laugh as my partner said - "do I really want to know?"

What a great item
Thank you for bringing this fantastic fact/bird to wider attention.

How soon we forget that Sussssssan declared in a court of law that the government doesn't owe a duty of care to the children citizens.
How horrifying that She is the best of the bunch!!

The OP hasn't finished baking her "selfness" into a human yet so this dude is too overdone for her.
In fact he is a bit "broken"
Dump him, sister and look for someone who is at least only a bit broken - them you can sometimes fix with care.

Thank you for this image/post so much!
I volunteer mentor 17yo Aussie girls for their driving hours - 120 hours needed before the test- & in those 120 hours we cover a lot of kms & a lot of topics.
This is an excellent addition to my arsenal in the fight for these young women's future happy lives.

A section of a busy inner Melbourne arterial (Brunswick Rd Fitzroy) has new 30kph speed limit I noticed when visiting this week. Lots of cycle traffic. Even saw a parent with a small child in a basket chair on the front of a reverse trike - child was very relaxed & happy
Felt safer
Way to go!!

Excellent - I just love this
Soooo true

Just love this analogy!! Well done!!

Thank you, that makes sense
My Dad worked in a dairy factory in world famous dairy area
so lots of cream, milk & cheese.
In the 1930's, Australia had a rabbit plague, saving many Aussies & instead of PB&J, Vegemite (nutritious black paste from beer brewing waste) Aussie only addiction/invention

I'm sorry if this sounds rude but
What's with you Yanks & mac n cheese? I mean, WHY?
It always seems to be spoken of as if it's the height of haute cuisine
In Australia, before Italians, we ate spaghetti with tomato sauce/ketchup sans cheese, but we discovered sauces & haven't looked back
Catch up?

When I was 20 I was in a relationship with a bloke who had been a mate
Then we realized it was only lust/sex so we stopped
Went back to being friends
Unfortunately this is a rare resolution
But sex Only relationships seem to be getting even more common than when I was young
Dump em all !

Love Andie MacDowell, she looks fantastic & real (No mar a largo look)
But is this a still from an RKO horror movie? If it is I'm watching it. She is one scary woman
I fantasize that I had that look during my career as a secondary teacher - no need for detention with that expression lookin' at you
