Definitely miss ’98-'04ish when my family had landlines. The concept of voicemails was so awesome to me back then and felt a lot more personal. Texting is convenient, but I still love phone calls way more.

Yeah, it was so bad that when we ripped the carpet and baseboards out, we had to apply 2-3 layers of special paint to kill the smell. Ended up just getting a stainless steel box with a litter genie.
