This is no joke. Trump WILL invade Greenland. His entire life he got what he wanted and others suffered for it, this is no different. He wants the US cut off from allies, the destruction of NATO, and himself as dictator. He doesn't care about consequences to trade or the US economy. HE IS SERIOUS.

People are still underestimating Trump. For his entire life, he got what he wanted and left others to pay the price. He WILL invade Greenland, there is absolutely no doubt. The destruction of NATO is not a side effect, it is the goal, as is the transformation of the US into a dictatorship

I do not recall president Lincoln being a convicted felon incessantly whining about how "rigged" everything is against him.
This is standard DARVO stuff from the right with no basis in reality. The last 30 years have shown that they have no shame, never argue in good faith, and delight in trolling

If they painted it black with a big iron cross and "Leibstandarte Donald Trump" on the side, the Secret Service would probably buy a bunch...

In Russia, oligarchs exist at the mercy of the dictator. Putin decides who is allowed to steal and how much, in return for loyalty. This wasn't understood here because in the US, oligarchs buy politicians.
So yes, Trump wants the Russian system with him as dictator, this isn't a surprise

I mean... ok, I've heard terrible things about Utah. Move to the Pacific Northwest
January 18, 2026 at 5:18 PM
No you're not. There is no forced state control of the media, dissenting voices can still be heard. People aren't denouncing their neighbours to the state. The rule of law still mostly works, even though it collapsed on a government level. Elections do not result in 99% wins, only just enough
January 18, 2026 at 4:46 PM
No other country can help you at this time, and the US is firmly on the way to a totalitarian dictatorship. The last election was the one that mattered, TRUMP LITERALLY SAID SO. You can check off the stages by comparing it to previous and current dictatorships (Germany, Italy, Russia, N Korea, Iran)

The American people have handed the power of the presidency to a moronic bully, a habitual liar, a scammer and grifter, an incessant whiner who never had to experience the consequences of his actions. Everybody else but him will suffer from his actions, including the people who elected him.

The US has built its entire economy on "soft power". Equal copyright enforcement across its sphere if influence, pharmaceutical patents, US dollar as reserve currency, other countries buying US debt, and so on.
The US dictator can conquer Greenland, but the US society will massively change as result
January 17, 2026 at 4:38 PM
In case of a US attack, Denmark will invoke Article 5. If the US becomes a hostile state, it will be forced to abandon the US military bases in Europe, with or without equipment. Trade between US and Europe will collapse. Europe will try to replace the dollar as reserve currency. Nobody wins this.

"Calling for it" is just cringey propaganda. He does everything he wants to accomplish by executive order, no matter if it applies or not, and his cronies obey, no matter if they have to or not. So, how about an executive order to cap interest rates? No? Thought so.

Trump lies just like Putin lies. Ignoring the easily disprovable alternate-reality lies from Trump, this is what's going to happen:
- The US will be less safe
- Citizens will be poorer, less healthy, and have less rights
Electing a malignant narcissist and habitual liar has consequences

Breaking up NATO would not only weaken the US, but also destroy the export market for the US defense industry, which would result in increased defense spending in the US. Who would buy F35's from a hostile country?
January 7, 2026 at 3:23 PM
The US has bases in Europe that are important for global US force projection. If the US attacks a European NATO country, then it will get kicked out of these bases. This would weaken the US military, weaken Europe, destroy NATO. Putin would LOVE this to happen.
January 7, 2026 at 7:40 AM
The point about Greenland: Currently the US has bases all over Europe, especially in Germany. A US attack against a NATO ally will not only destroy NATO, but almost certainly result in the removal of those bases, weakening US force projection capabilities and weaken Europe. This is Putin's wet dream

The US used to be a high-trust society, so citizens don't expect that Trump will just ... make.stuff.up. There doesn't need to be a kernel of truth, he's inventing whole parallel realities that match his desires. This is SOP in Russian propaganda, and it's SOP for Trump because of his mental illness
December 31, 2025 at 4:05 PM
NATO wasn't prepared for it's strongest member state becoming thoroughly compromised by Russia. At this point, the US is a liability within NATO, and European countries would be better off creating a separate defense alliance.

Fair enough
December 30, 2025 at 3:44 PM
I think "works" is the wrong word. Trump obeys Putin, because he is afraid of Putin. In the 1990's when Trump was desperate enough to go to Russia for loans, Putin either got some incredible kompromat on Trump, or Putin scared Trump shitless.

Trump does what Putin wants, but it's not really "work"
December 30, 2025 at 3:33 PM
Putin owns Trump. This isn't a "friendship", Trump will never make a decision against the will of Putin. Trump isn't being played by Putin, Putin flat out prepares talking points for Trump and tells him what to say.

Also, Putin lies about EVERYTHING. Why are his lies parroted in the press?
December 30, 2025 at 6:15 AM
The USA is currently a larger version of Belarus: Within the Russian sphere of influence, allowed self-administration up to a certain point, but matters of foreign policy are controlled by Putin. Trump is a slightly more embarrassing version of Lukashenko.

The "root cause of the conflict" is that Russia is a fascist kleptocratic dictatorship intend on rebuilding an empire and exploiting and russifying its neighbours.
