Our Brunsvigia is starting to split! It’s been flowering the last three years and I thought noticed leaves of this new division last year. Cool!!

Yes, after six months of dry, it’s nice to have some real rain!

Our Arum pictum bloomed in succession this year instead of all the bulbs at the same time. Curious. gimcw.org/2022/09/29/a...

This app (BlueSky) seems to have a large # of trollers/scammers already! Since my very recent activity I have found a # of them following me, with no obvious connection to me or my interests. Weird. I thought this was a better place than FB. Maybe I was wrong.

Getting ready for a trip - using a box-lid to collect stuff (from salvaged cardboard from our recent move, apparently). Struck by the online app reference to the labeling of said box-lib, not by us!). Curious.

The late Harland Hand pulled this green form of Crassula perfoliata var. falcata right out of his garden and gave it to me! I had been admiring and asking about it. It grows a bit smaller than the common gray leaf form. Hoping to plant it in the ground of our new garden soon.

Xerophyta (Talbotia) elegans - gifted to us by our dear departed friend Beryl Golden. This plant can dry out severely, the leaves turning purplish and folding in half, then revive quickly when given water (yes, I inadvertently ‘experimented’ personally!!).

Echeveria “Hummel #1”, gifted to us by the late Ruth Bancroft, who save it from the breeder’s disposal group (because it wasn’t what he was working toward)

Reuters reports that during a key Ukrainian counteroffensive in September 2022, Elon Musk ordered Starlink coverage to be cut in areas like Kherson, disrupting the operation and undermining Kyiv’s trust in him.

Outrageous
