I've been thinking about this question since you posted it. The phrase "when you are accustomed to privilege, equality feels like oppression" comes to mind. I think the world is moving more towards equality and the privileged are feeling more oppressed so they are lashing out harder.

The question MAGA conservatives should be asked is "How many kids would Trump have to have abused before you consider him unfit for the presidency?" Because you know there is an actual number.

While the decision was correct, it should not have come to a head the way it did. Starmer should have put it to bed with Burnham with discussion and leadership.

It's the difference between someone using ingrained microaggressions stemming from racial stereotypes to burning crosses while wearing ghost costumes. Sure they aren't the same but they kind of are in that they are both wrong.
