RONALD REAGAN (1988): We should be aware of the demagogues who are ready to declare a trade war against our friends, weakening our economy, our national security, and the entire free world—all while cynically waving the American flag.

The Van Gogh ‘Poets and Lovers’ exhibition at the National Gallery comes recommended, if you can get tickets. The Curators of the National Gallery need a pat on the back, as they’ve done a remarkable job of getting some of these pictures from private collections and large galleries.

Sad to hear of the death of Tony Slattery, ‘Whose Line Is It Anyway?’ was essential television in the day, and ‘not go out on a Friday night’ good when I was a student. I’m still amazed at the Improv ability of all of them, but Tony was always a favourite of mine.

I can recommend ‘The Moonwalkers - A Journey with Tom Hanks’ at the Lightroom, London. In fact, having seen the David Hockney show, and the Vogue show, I can recommend anything there. Lovely staff and a great venue.
