It's also worth noting how many red states benefit from cheap energy sources. Republican opposition to cheap energy says more about their failure to stand up their fossil-dominated leadership than about their willingness to stand up for their constituents.

This is entirely unsurprising. If you build cheap energy sources that aren't exposed to fossil fuel costs or cost volatility your energy prices are lower. That's why it's such a threat to the fossil sector. But it's a proven way to lower costs. www.politico.com/news/2025/10...

Bottom line: there is a global story that is really positive here. Markets winning, consumers winning, environment winning. US coverage is so focused on our own internal politics and dysfunction that we not only miss the big picture but also risk getting overtaken by our global competitors.

The good news is global. The bad news is domestic as the US is increasingly failing to keep up with the cheap energy transition. Committing to run an economy based on resource extraction is a proven way to get your ass kicked. We need to do better.

Bottom line, Bondi is not an ethical person. She is not a trustworthy person. She is not even Trump's first choice among the universe of unethical Floridians. All her responses should be heard in that light.

You can tell she knows exactly what legal liability she is under by the fact that she is reading a scripted answer and is not deviating from it. This is a witness who has been coached by counsel to avoid perjuring herself.

Just as a reminder, Bondi’s origin story in Trump world is that she said she was going to investigate Trump University, Trump sent her a $25K check and the investigation disappeared. She later became Trump’s personal defense lawyer. So yeah, don’t challenge her integrity.
