I like to yap and hurl my stream of consciousness into strings of somewhat coherent text blocks 💭✨
Also lucky for him I’m good with makeup so I’m gonna beat that mug DOWN

So please, from my skin to yours, DITCH THE MAKEUP WIPES!!! Stop aggressively rubbing that garbage on your face (and potentially causing premature fine lines) and switch to this less irritating, skin friendly alternative that I almost guarantee you’re going to prefer. 💖

Overall 5/5 stars ⭐️
I love the affordability, cute packaging, jumbo size option, availability of variations based on skin concern (tho the og classic pink is perfectly fine), and efficacy. This balm quickly and easily removes even my most stubborn eye makeup in seconds & competes with luxury opts.

Be sure to follow up with a foaming cleanser (I’ve been hooked on the Youth to the People Superfood Cleanser lately). Luckily Banilla also makes a great one under the same Zero line and better yet, it’s only $14.

The foaming cleanser step removes all the bad oil based impurities from your skin.

It’s a creamy balm that melts in your hand and applies to the face and feels like butter (in a good way) and easily lifts up all of your makeup (even waterproof liner) without causing irritation. You’ll then want to splash a bit of water on your face and emulsify this before rinsing w warm water.

This wasn’t my first cleansing balm. It was actually the Farmacy Green Clean one but I couldn’t justify spending $36 for 100ml of product at that age. Then I found this lovely from Banilla Co. at a fraction of the price and it immediately became a holy grail product for me.

For background, I got deep into the Korean skincare game about 6/7 years ago when I wanted effective products that wouldn’t cost me a fortune.
Enter: the double cleanse - oil based cleansing to remove makeup and oil based impurities (like spf) followed by a foaming cleanser to remove the bad oils.

Satin matte finish, super light, not bad but not good smell (but who tf cares), LONG lasting, worth every freaking penny.

Will follow up next time I get caught in the rain with makeup. 😋

I’ve only used this a handful of times and it has already become one of those “can’t live without” products so I’ll be stocking up on those jumbo ones while they’re still in stock, since they’re only available for a limited time (which I hope they reconsider)

Here’s what I will say- after you’ve applied your creams and powdered everything down, go in with a more traditional setting spray like the classic morphe one with the fine mist. Rehydrate those powders and let everything sink into the skin first.
THEN after you’ve dried, lay this aerosol down.

AND when I went in with some tissue to dab away the shine, I got minimal transfer! Normally I can expect 1/4 of my face to dab off on that tissue but not when this stuff is in place!
Was it waterproof- tbd haven’t tested it but saw that it’s more water “resistant” than water “proof” but I’ll take it

I get really oily but decided to put this to the test and apply it to a beat face that I DIDNT set with powder (except my under eyes) - risky behavior!
And color me impressed- after 10 hours of wear my makeup hardly budged. Did i get oily? A bit of shine yea but not nearly my normal oil slick.

I wouldn’t classify this as a setting spray because it’s not going to rehydrate your powders and melt all your products together into the skin.
It’s more of a finishing spray that you’d apply after to keep your makeup in tact for endless hours, prevent a lot of transfer, and keep things in check.

I’ve been searching for a setting spray that keeps my makeup in tact for all day wear and keeps the oils at bay for legit as long as I’ve been playing with makeup - so ~15 years.
Have I finally found the perfect setting spray? No.
But did I find the perfect FINISHING spray? Yes!

Let me explain.

As a limited holiday special, the jumbo 7.3 oz size was recently dropped and naturally I jumped for it because I’m a Costco kinda girl and love a value. Was it a bit chaotic to dive into the jumbo option having never tried the product? Why, yes. But Ive made riskier financial decisions in my time.
