I am proud that our petition for a lift at Tooting Broadway Stn has been signed by over 1,300 people. Whether you're in a wheelchair, pushing a buggy or have lots of luggage, a lift would be helpful for all!

Today, there is a UK-EU summit to discuss working together on things that just make sense. Like shorter queues at airports, security cooperation and youth mobility.

Yesterday, I discussed it with @bbclaurak.bsky.social

It makes absolute sense that we should work with our European allies with whom we have shared security, trade and economic interests.

It is right for the Government to forge closer ties with our counterparts on the continent.

This VE Day, it is important to remember the very real impact of the Second World War on people's lives, with thousands of bombs falling on houses across the local area during the Blitz.🧵

On VE Day, we remember the sacrifice of civilians and soldiers alike in our fight for freedom and democracy.

Among the thousands of bombs dropped on the area, a huge explosive penetrated the road and killed 68 people sheltering inside Balham Station.

Fantastic to be out on the doorstep chatting to voters in Balham this weekend with our amazing team of Labour councillors and activists.

Labour run Wandsworth has frozen council tax for the third year in a row, keeping pounds in your pocket.

Proud to be voted Trade Union of the Year at this year’s
SME4Labour awards.

Small and medium enterprises are a hugely important part of our economy and their interests are best served by a Labour government, working in partnership with business and unions.

Seen lots of fascinating anecdotes about John Prescott, but this one, from my Council colleague Cllr Tony Belton, tops them all!

From today, the junction of Earlsfield Road with Garratt Lane is closed for gas pipe repairs. Magdalen and Penwith Roads remain closed and the 77 bus is diverted via Garratt Lane and East Hill.

I have made clear to SGN that I expect this work to be completed in a timely manner.

Anybody closely following the nail-biter which is the California 13th election?

Thrilling, even after 2 weeks.

On Transgender Day of Remembrance we must stand against the hatred that has led to the death of 350 trans people across the world this past year.
