It's well worth the time! It's a legendary game, the remastered graphics look great, especially with the in-game character models. Both games probably take about 8-hours each to complete first time round, maybe a little longer for completionist runs. And it's £24.

I mean, that sounds like the wildest concept! I'm kind of intrigued to see how Pokemon works into it hahaha

Maybe I can give them a try when walking! And I work as a content writer online, and I remember putting on an audio book for Dune if I remember rightly? I don't think I did work for about 4 hours, so not the best idea for me 🤣 It did convince me to get the actual book though!

You're a legend dude, thank you so much! I got heavy reading fatigue after reading classical writers, I need some more contemporary pieces. And I've tried with Audio books before, and I wish I could get into them. I just struggle to keep my attention focused 😀

Daaaaamn! Okay, I'm always supportive of those who help others and I want to get into fantasy again, but it's a genre filled with so many bad books, that I don't know who the actual good authors are (other than the classics). I'll give him a go!

I think it could be improved by giving the forces you fight against the ability to retake camps or regain control of areas. One of my biggest issues is how OP stealth is, so if they have enemies attacking camps with fighting forces, you'll be forced to use your big guns.

Yah, most people skip ahead to 3, but I think they're doing themselves a disservice. First two are a bit janky, but W2 has an incredible story and sets the stage for 3. Especially as that's when Geralt remembers Yen! What kinda books does Sanderson write? I need to get back into reading man...

Yeah, I heard that too! I'm just wondering who helped her do it. I'm guessing another Witcher school, or Yennefer at a stretch. Would be very surprised if it's any of the Wolf school witchers.

But I always just assumed that was a reference to her amulet.

Really excited with what they'll do. I also want to find out how the hell Ciri became a Witcher. I doubt Geralt would've allowed her to do the Trial of the Grasses, so maybe she went to one of the other schools? Devs in teasers mentioned a 'Cat-School' witcher before?

And yeah, I think you're on Time of Contempt now! The whole saga is excellent, and helped me enjoy the games sooo much more, especially with how many characters return in the games.
December 14, 2024 at 9:52 PM
Yeah, definitely inspired. I think the one you're referencing is from the first game, and it was kind of a retelling of the Stregor (spelling?) tale from Last Wish. I'm glad you read the short stories first! I consider them essential reading before the actual Saga begins.
December 14, 2024 at 9:50 PM
Hah! I'm sure we'll get one someday 😀 Also, by book 3, do you mean Blood of Elves or Sword of Destiny? I count them from Last Wish upwards, even though I know the Saga books are technically the only numbered ones. How're you finding them?

I mean, in the books, she is canonically bi anyways, so thankfully CDPR don't have to do too much to her character to make different romances work. The toxic side of gaming will still find a way to complain though...

Andrew Wakefield. He did it for the MMR vaccine because he wanted to separate them into singular vaccines and sell them off separately. And he still gets invited to anti-vax conferences regularly, where he is referred to as a doctor, despite losing his licence years ago.

Couldn't help it. The man I was on X came back for a little :D

Thorn was definitely my favourite :D

Absolute classic! I watched that movie when I was a kid religiously. I'm pretty sure the Hex Girls influenced my taste in women heavily 😄
November 27, 2024 at 3:39 PM
Oh I do 😀 I've got my wonderful wife in my corner.
November 27, 2024 at 3:36 PM
😄 It was a good idea, and still is

Cry about it -- though judging by all of your replies, you've been doing so for a while. And I think what I said is accurate. Considering what I've seen on X, YouTube, and other social media, most gamers don't have a clue what they're talking about. I say this as a gamer.
November 27, 2024 at 2:45 PM
Unfortunately dude, if you're looking for nuance from the average gamer, you're going to be sorely disappointed. Bluesky has brought back some of my faith in the gaming community... but there's still huge swathes of the gaming community which is incredibly stupid

I've never pushed the follow button so quick in my life. These are phenomenal.

If you're into Resident Evil, you might be into more survival horror type games. Tormented Souls is pretty good and plays like RE1, actually got recommended it on here and it's decent!

Alan Wake 2 is great as well, and isn't too scary.
