In 2025, we hosted our very first Larval Edition. It was amazing, thanks to the incredible artists and audience members who joined us. But these larvae are all grown up now. And we’re p*ssed off!

Our dear friends from @zinehug are not just masters of risograph-printed animation, but also of animation history. They imagined the poster for our inaugural “Larval Edition” as a phenakistiscope—the first widespread animation device, which paved the way for moving media as early as 1832.

Kick off the festival with the PNW premiere of short MIISUFY and the Seattle premiere of Julian Glander’s debut feature, BOYS GO TO JUPITER!
