It will provide before the end of the year an even better native support for Spring Boot 4 applications, while allowing Spring and GraalVM teams to spend their time on more valuable tasks.

There is still a lot to do and to learn, especially on how to define clear boundaries on what is automated by GenAI + GitHub Actions and what remains crafted by the contributors, but that's promising.

End of last year, I have seen really impressive progresses on GenAI smoke tests and metadata generation (see github.com/oracle/graal...), and today we are I think pretty close of a mostly automated maintenance of the GraalVM reachability metadata repository.

The Spring team has been collaborating with them for years on crafting reachability metadata for OSS libraries in order to allow JVM workloads to compile to native images, but the maintenance and the delay to get support for new library versions has always been by-design challenges.
