Sad. RIP Icon.
We mourn the loss of an incredible mother, beloved daughter, inspiring visionary, and selfless leader. Thank you for helping women and moms rise.

Biden pardoned a bunch of people on the way out. Leonard Pelletier is notable, but what about Mumia Abu Jamal? Both needed to be sent home to their families. #BidenPardons

Fantastic news!
MIT announced that it would eliminate tuition costs next fall for all undergraduate students whose families earn less than $200,000 per year — following a national movement to try to make higher education more accessible.
M.I.T. to Offer Free Tuition to Families Earning Less Than $200,000
For students whose families earn less than $100,000 per year, the school will also other costs, including housing, dining, fees and an allowance for books and personal expenses.

Medium actions:
Attend school board meetings and voice your opposition to banning books.
Call your electeds and ask for anti-banning legislation (especially in blue/purple states).
Research how bans were effectively repealed or defeated and see how it can be applied near you.
This year, don't "celebrate" Banned Books Week (exactly @heisereads.bsky.social). This year, don't create yet another Banned Books Week toolkit (there are already so many great ones). This year, we need collective action. This year, we need to show up and relentlessly fight for our Right to Read.
