👏 Congratulations Tobias, Florian, and Philipp, for winning the best paper award for their paper on the development and evaluation of a video on #onlineelections. The paper was chosen for bridging the gap between research & practical application, and providing benefits for society as a whole.
Five people standing in a row. We see three people who handed over a gift and a certificate to Tobias Hilt and Florian Moser, who received an award for their paper.

In multiple user studies, we developed improvements for the different components of a verifiable online voting system. During the demo session, participants had the opportunity to cast their votes via the online voting system and to verify the accuracy of their votes using a second device.
A person sits in front of a laptop, her hands are on the keyboard. There is a second monitor that shows a voting systems. The person in front of the laptop looks up to another person. Both are smiling, it seems they are having a good conversation. The picture shows three people. It seems that one person is listening to what one of the other two is explaining. All stand in front of a table with a laptop and a bigger monitor that shows a QR code. There are several posters in the room.

Many thanks to all who visited our demo yesterday at @evoteid.bsky.social and provided feedback. The demo of the various parts of our verifiable #onlinevoting system was first presented as part of the #ESS evaluation. We now had the chance to obtain further feedback directly from the community.
