I totally agree with you (I think I responded to the wrong quote). You can’t know ahead of time, and that’s a valuable experience too.

The most enriching classes I took in college had nothing to do (directly) with my degree track nor my future profession(s), but I use that knowledge and those skills every day. The benefits are more abstract but it’s insane to think they’re not valuable.
