We found a protest while on vacation. I’m so glad we didn’t miss it. Santa Barbara has a population of 86k, so this is a great turnout (also excited we made the video!). #handsoff
Santa Barbara turns out and turns it up for Hands Off!

Consumer Protections matter. This is a law that helps people and limits banks’ greed.
Washington Republicans are trying to overturn a $5 cap on overdraft fees that we fought for. I’m on my way to vote NO. Join me in this fight. Call your member of congress and urge them to vote NO on repealing the overdraft cap.

The guy who asked Zelensky if he owned a suit, Brian Glenn, is a reporter for the pro-Trump media network Real America’s Voice and also Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene's boyfriend. He got one of the rare Oval Office interviewer spots only after the White House blocked the Associated Press.

@atrupar.com I’m sure you won’t see this and won’t remember me, but it’s been quite spectacular to see your career explode! I remember the kindness you showed me 12 years ago when you interviewed me with the City Pages! It’s been fun to see your posts reshared by some of our greatest leaders!

This. We give elected Dems a lot of guff, but this one is not the Dems' fault. Dems in the House held the line and did all they could.
Anyone saying the Democrats got their wallets inspected on the vote is, frankly, being either stupid or a wrecker, or both. The GOP flipped their own people. The Dems got their own reps back into the chamber, at least one limping out of a hospital bed, another with her newborn, and they were united.

Republicans need $4 trillion to extend the 2017 Trump tax breaks for the ultra rich. Republicans are looting US for THEIR tax breaks.
This is what a deal with the devil looks like👇

@housegop.bsky.social JUST VOTED TO CUT Medicaid, SNAP benefits, school meals, & housing assistance all in exchange for giving corporations & billionaires a tax cut all at the  expense of the middle class.

The AGs in democratic states are so important right now. Thank you, Attorney General Ellison!
Trump's creation of DOGE and appointment of Elon Musk to lead it is unconstitutional. It is unacceptable that Musk is using this unconstitutional appointment to try to cut the federal government to the bone.

Today, I filed a lawsuit to shut this illegal power grab down.

What happens when the Executive branch doesn’t follow court’s’ orders, SCOTUS has expanded presidential immunity, and we have to rely on Republicans to impeach?
this is the sort of thing you post when you’re ramping up to defying lawful court orders

President Musk gave these *children* access to our most confidential information. These are the clowns running our government. We CAN fight this. Tell your reps what you want and think. Reach out to your quiet friends & bring them in. Millions of people doing small things makes a difference.

Call your democratic senators and tell them you want them to lead like an opposition party: delay processes and vote no on nominees. We need them
to communicate more often, broadly, and in plain language. They need to stop trying to cooperate with this administration.
When I was a Hill staffer in 2009, a Dem trifecta was trying to pass universal healthcare. In response, Senate GOP released a memo detailing all of the tactics they in the minority could use to delay the effort as much as possible. I'm recirculating that 2009 GOP memo here. Take inspiration from it.
