My mom has worked for AHRQ since 1986. To hear that 90% of their workforce was being cut was gut wrenching. The dedication to public health among AHRQ staff over the years is something we will never be able to replace, I still don't understand how this decision was made. Do better, U.S.

I love a weekly objective planning tool! Why? It lets you track the learning verbs you're using throughout the week and month to easily reflect on whether you're working students up to higher order skills!

Incorporating student discourse is a great way to demonstrate cognitive empathy in the classroom. Part of this is 'Making Students’ Thinking Visible', where students: Do the majority of the talking. Are expected to explain their thinking & Show they are listening to one another.

A personal goal of mine this year has been to get back to reading regularly - I just finished my 2nd book of the school year, The Heaven and Earth Grocery Store by James McBrice. It was a really interesting read on 'in race, religion and personal history.' On to the next! 📚
