Additionally, many US citizens are visiting Canada rather than US destinations. We visited BC twice in 26 and plan to return in May.

In the summer 68, my local library revealed the truth as I read the biographies of Indigenous peoples. Same summer I read the atrocities the 3rd Reich perpetrated on Jews. I then realized the 1st Nations had suffered a genocide at the hands of the USA. It’s no less troubling to me these years later.

This is a matter of fear. Fear of loss of political, social, cultural and economic control. MAGA supporters of all SES are predominantly white who have enjoyed (word chosen purposefully) control and are emotionally attached to continuing this control.
