If you start seeing a large decline, then maybe something is wrong. But growth (especially on patreon) is a lot harder than anything else. Patreon for most people is supplemental income, not primary. If you want it to be primary, you need to put a LOT of effort into making exclusive content.

At a certain point your growth would stop as that is the amount of people in your following who can afford to support you financially. I know this isn't the exact answer to your question you want, but, I feel it might ease your worry. As long as you are not seeing decline, keep doing what you are.
