From yung pueblo:

every time someone
loves themselves better,
builds their self-awareness,
understands their patterns,
improves their ability to communicate,
and expands their compassion for others,
the future of humanity grows brighter.
your healing impacts the world
by bringing new peace.

Meaningful happens through a magical combination of insight, grit, and faith. And when I say faith, I think what I really mean is a belief in possibility.

In 2025, I will stretch myself into Creative Spaces and be intentional and fierce about it.

ROE: All creative spaces are new. Come into those spaces as a new and different Mish.

- Hip Hop Dance class.
- Vocal and singing classes
- One week of silence.

Let's see what rises.

Are you the kind of person who loves to dive in and try something new, choosing your path as you go and learning from your mistakes along the way?

Inspirational. And so necessary in an ever-changing world.

Most excellent long hike with the hubs out in the state park behind our home had us navigating ice, snow, rock, and downed trees.

Best. Day. Ever.

Three pies on display.
I ate a piece from each one.
Too much? Methinks not.

Reflecting today on gratitude, generosity, and knowing. Some words from David Whyte, which are still making their way through me.

Hiking with a group of multi-generational ladies out and back on a favorite trail this morning. Marianne Williamson's passage on not playing small, of instead shining your light in service to oneself and others, kept coming to mind.

Here it is in case you need to see it!

I absolutely love how Brene Brown is showing us how we evolve our understanding of ourselves (and the world) through this note.

She's giving us permission to re-define stress, overwhelm, and nothingness the way she is seeing it now. Or not.

Sometimes taking time to reset is the perfect antidote.

Julie Arts, from MIT's Presencing Institute, describes 4 kinds of listening:
1. To Affirm
2. To Differentiate
3. To Understand Empathically
4. To Transform

Obvi, I wanna do #4. Duh. Truth is I meander between 1-3, sometimes noticing where I am. Sometimes not so much.

You?

Still thinking about Listening.

It's like meditation. When you realize you're not doing it actively or empathically is the exact moment of awareness and opportunity to start over.

Again.
And again.
Oh, and there we go again.

Mary Oliver is inspiring me this morning. She often does.

Listen (from "Felicity")

Everyday
I see or hear
something
that more or less

kills me
with delight,
that leaves me
like a needle

in the haystack
of light.
It was what I was born for —
to look, to listen,
