Kittens are brats who get away with all kinds of nonsense because they're cute.

I mean, it figures. His family had his aunt lobotomized for being uppity and likely neurodivergent.

According to MAGA math: 4 > 4,100, I guess.

That's how it always goes. The center-spun-as-left offer condolences; the right froth at the mouth and call for the heads of everyone to the left of Newt Gingrich on a pike on the grounds that we're all somehow complicit (or just not distraught enough).

The right don't want to risk the reality contradicting the script. Might put a damper on their totalitarian plans.

I've gone on a few rants elsewhere about how they're controlled opposition. They act like they're obligated to act like loyal opposition and to be gracious both in victory and in defeat; and the right enforce this via shaming and threats, and are under no such obligations themselves.

He was one of the cult's thought leaders. The right deems that more important than public service. And as for the centrists mourning him: I think it's about half the compulsive need to be "loyal opposition," and half fear that unhinged cult members will come for them.

Get too near his fingernail with a pin, and he'd start bawling like an ugly bald baby.

Sippenhaft and also a cover-up.

That viper is term-limited. He needs to get nuked in the primaries; he's a living incarnation of the ratchet effect.

As a CA resident: I hope so.

Hey! Grand Vizier Guyliner! Known activist judge Clarence Thomas is neither a medical professional nor a good-faith source.

I think the cops are complicit. Cops skew further right than the military.
June 7, 2025 at 9:31 AM
I don't mean like a military "eyes front" thing; it was shifty and evasive. As in: if they saw anyone trying to look them in the eye, they would visibly avert their gaze.

And they busted into the restaurant, harassed and intimidated the staff, and zip-tied at least three men (one confirmed to be a citizen) and threw them into the vans.

While they didn't react to taunts: none of them would make eye contact with us. 🧵

I was there. They were wearing what looked like DHS gear (protective vests, lots of patches but no nametags or apparent actual badges, various sorts of facemasks including paper ones or neck gaiters pulled up to the bridge of the nose). They were driving unmarked vehicles, some without plates. 🧵

Plenty of outrageous properties I could buy, then rent out at well below market value after the fact. That's probably what I'd do. Maybe put most of the value of this ridiculous thing down, then pay it off and turn it into a hostel.

"No gifting" is absolutely unfair, because that's the primary reason I would want that kind of money.

#DOGE isn't "fixing" the government, it is dismantling it.

#Trump isn't "helping" Americans, he is retaliating against them.

Pam Bondi isn't "upholding" the Constitution, she is ignoring it.

After all: it's said that the à bao a qu reached the top once. We sabotage ourselves too much for that.
April 14, 2025 at 6:10 PM
And so: the climber would almost invariably wimp out and head back down. And the á bao a qu would whimper—so softly that it was said to sound like silk crinkling—and tumble back down the steps, melting back into a blob as it did.

But I think I may be giving us a bit too much credit.

It became opaque. It turned a pale glowing blue. It developed limbs, then bones.

But the climb was incredibly long; and there was more than just the basic exertion of that to it. Any tower from which one can see paradise or enlightenment, after all, has got to be supernatural. 🧵

The á bao a qu only roused from its hibernation—in which state, it wasn't much more than an ephemeral little blob of translucent jelly with the texture of peach fuzz—when someone tried; and every time, it'd try to follow them.

And as it did, it would become more and more distinct. 🧵
