I'm one of the most introverted people, if not the most introverted person on earth, but here's the mind-boggling contradiction; I believe I'm an extrovert at heart.
My introversion is brought about by selective mutism. Figuratively, I want to play outside in the rain too.

An important phone call that I have to make. At that moment, I dread it but must make the call.
Their phone rings and at that moment I know for certain I won't be able to speak.
They pick up and say "Hello"
I'm on this end fighting for my life to let the words out ...
