Advent of Code 2025 started as of today!

I solved Day 1 about 90% of the way. Couldn't figure out one edge case.

But still had fun doing it and reading others' solutions in the subreddit.

Hope to do better tomorrow.

Heading to Devfest Scotland 2025, while it's pitch black outside. 😴

Kinda envious of people attending Devfests in warmer places!

On the rare occasion I open Facebook these days, half my feed consists of AI-generated images and videos of animals or cats.

AI is a valuable technology of course, but I can't wait for the tools to not be so free-for-all anymore so that it's not getting wasted on pointless content.

Have been using @frontendmasters.com for learning some API development. Despite the name, gotta say they have some really quality courses beyond frontend. And the UI is much better than other similar platforms.

A really nice collection of website inspiration here, curated at the component level, which is handy for UI designers.

That moment when you accidentally use a dict instead of an array and end up with random iteration order. Although supposedly it shouldn't happen on newer Python versions?

I just solved Bellingcat's 'Strait Through' challenge 🏆

Took me about 10-15 minutes. Not too bad for first time.
