their eyes are also pretty cool , something similar to insects where they use many lenses but it's like. many lenses.

overall. pretty damn cool creature. so y'd it die.

sad as it is , kind of same reason as dinosaurs. bad thimgs happened n cool creatures died. 🪦

despite popular belief , its curre tly questioned whether they could actually break through hard shells due to a lack of wear on the teeth, however they were still effective enough at making this thing one of the firs apex predators ever , which basically means no one wanted to 1v1 these guys.

their most popular featuee is their pair of curled spiky mouthpieces, which also gave em their name , as originally only those were found , and they resembled shrimp in shape.

however, they still swag.
most interestimg 2 me is their swimming pattern.
they have a bunch of lil flaps on the sides of their body , which are somewhat overlapped n create a wavelike motion that moved our guys forward. think something vaguely similar to how snakes or slugs do it. those r cool

theyre not really as big as i seen implied , i havent found any info on any known species reachimg 1m in length. that said , for their time they were still pretty dam huge.
their mouthpieces seem to often be implied to be able to break hard shells , but that also seems to be possibly incorrext.

it appears like their closest relation to sheimp is just "aquatic arthropod" tho.
far as anomaloclaris goes, its entire class Dinocaridida haa been extinct since probably roughly 400 million years ago. overall ,not much to do w shrimp.
