Second Life. Dildo collector. Supporter of porn/sex workers. Bass head. Tolkien Expert. Non-binary; they/them. Weird blood owner (my own - other people's would be even weirder). Often NSFW reposts (18+) https://semysays.com/blog/
100% should have left it in.

I'm going to tell future generations that's the Dracula who owes money to Moon Knight.

Their logic is seemingly "lots of fools love coke so if we become coke zero we can win".

It's so utterly stupid because the folks who want the extreme version of something will never pivot to the watered down option.

Interesting.

Funnily enough I find the suggestion that RPG games without romances are for kids to be somewhat of an immature take.

There are several awesome RPGs with wonderful friendship building systems (& other gameplay) which prove romance isn't needed.

But we all like what we like I guess.

Avoiding RPGs without romances means you'll miss out on some amazing games.

Each to their own of course but feels like a reductive take to me. You'll fail to experience so much that way.

Totally understandable. SecondLife is a time/resource sink & priorities of RL don't always line up to give folks time there in the same way.

If anyone finds the time for a virtual world I hope they choose SL over anything Meta; especially LGBTQ+ folks.

Meta sucks. Their product is way worse by the looks of it too.

There are amazing looking avatars in Second Life - and people who create amazing clothing/attachments for them - I doubt any of us would ever be tempted by that Meta Slop project.

Just tell everyone they are "average" regardless then sit back and enjoy the chaos 😁.

There's never anything wrong with asking questions.

It's just another example of where it's better for us all to grow, learn, and share.

Embracing that there is more variation than our own experiences means we can understand each other better for sure.

And that's just one example of one group feeling pressured not to share when doing so would be much better for them.

There will be many more.

You just said about the idea of "stay silent & be safe". Loads of guys have suffered in silence exactly because of stuff like the pressures of toxic masculinity; being made to think being open about how they feel/felt equals weakness.

It may not apply to you or I but it most certainly a thing.
February 8, 2025 at 7:14 PM
Most people have experienced trauma of some type during their lifetime. The difference now is that more people feel able to discuss it - which is a healthy thing to do - because attitudes have improved.

What we don't want is more stuff (like toxic masculinity) that stops them feeling able to.

That's a shame. I've bought a handful of custom Sinnovator toys over recent years and they've all been awesome.

There are ways for users to avoid that awful content.

If they click the option "do not recommend" on those vids if Rogan, Peterson and their ilk appear on their feed it won't force feed them any more whilst letting them watch all your content.

Curating our own feeds is a must these days.
