Now that this bill is behind us, I am turning my full attention to IN’s affordability crisis. Hoosier families have been asking for:
🛒Affordable utilities and groceries
🏠Affordable child care, housing, and health care
💰Proper funding for our local governments and schools
🌾Supporting Hoosier Farmers

Gov Braun previously said he would only call a special session if both chambers had the votes. The Senate has already stated that they don’t. If he’s willing to break that promise now, what’s to stop him from doing it again?

This isn’t about left versus right. It’s about right versus wrong.

What does this special session mean for Hoosiers?
🗳️ Waste of taxpayer dollars to manipulate our maps
🚫 Erasing the two remaining Democratic seats
🔇 Silencing minority voices and votes
🤝 Rolling over to Trump’s political agenda

Indiana is now falling in line with the few states that have become political puppets for President Trump and his allies. Instead of meddling in our state government, Washington should focus on getting the federal government, now shut down for 26 days, back to work.

Today, Governor Braun officially called for a special session to begin the first week of November.

Let’s be clear, this isn’t about fair representation. It’s about rigging Indiana’s maps to lock in Trump’s power and silence Hoosier voters.

Let’s keep showing up for one another: volunteer, donate, advocate.

Because compassion isn’t charity — it’s justice.

If we can find trillions for war, we can find the means to feed our people.

Yet with the potential loss of SNAP benefits for over 40 million people due to the government shutdown, that reality feels closer than ever. Hunger should never be a political casualty.

Together we rejected fear and division, and stood for fair maps, free voices, and fearless communities.
