Auncle has been used as a gender neutral term since at least the 50s, though it sounds a bit too much like uncle imo. Some alternatives I've come up with: orsib (basically ur-sibling but without the diminutive -ling and with the English cognate of German ur-), forsib, eldsib, semkin and eldkin.
