It reminds me of themes from classical Persian poetry, such as the "school of love," being used in the Iran-Iraq war to motivate the population to sacrifice.

The "quote" from Abdu'l-Baha is not authentic. It began as a paraphrase made by Ahmad Sohrab of what he said Abdu'l-Baha had been saying over the recent months (of 1918).

This may explain Ukraine's shift to hitting oil production platforms in the Caspian Sea. If refining was the bottleneck point, diverting munitions to oil production targets would make no sense.
