Hi everyone 👋 Sensory Trust has moved from Twitter to BlueSky.

We will be posting about accessibility, inclusion and climate action.

We'd love to connect with people and organisations who are passionate outdoor access for all.
Every day plants are working to slow water down - the slower the flow, the greater chance of it reaching the lower ground store, where we need it.

Every day, plants are taking climate action, this is our chance to join them.

Mental Health is at the heart of everything we do. We believe that by getting hands-on and making meaningful connections with nature, we can increase feelings of joy, calm and connectivity.
What better way to celebrate World Mental Health Day than by doing some planting #WorldMentalHealthDay

Red Moor are catching the rain! 🌧️ We installed the coolest drainpipe structure along with a local designer, it collects the rain from their guttering and diverts it into a sponge garden below.

Soon it'll be full of climate resilient plants 💪

We've been training up the staff in our Climate Cooler Schools, celebrating all that the students have already done with us, looking ahead to all that we've got planned and finally talking about climate friendly changes for their site and if any of those ideas could travel home with them.

Cover Crops ❇️
Students in our Climate Cooler Schools sowed a cover crop to protect the soil from the elements and to provide structure for the soil. Whilst the flowers are around it's great food for the bees 🐝

Next they'll dig the plants into the soil to add valuable nutrients.

We were thrilled to be invited by Royal Parks to review Hyde Park last week.

We walked, buggied, measured, and recorded their way around this massive historical park.

Big thanks to May, Cassie, Ledy and the team for making us feel so welcome.

🎉 The flowers are out in Liverpool 🌻

In March, we joined the Scouse Flowerhouse at St Vincent's School to help spread the incredible climate repairing message of the wildflowers.

It's now the most fantastic wildflower meadow, all going to help cool our planet!
Plants are so cool!

Collective Climate Repair - A collaborative process with a beautiful result!

Sail shades will create some cooling shade whilst we wait for the climbers to grow. It is going to be a lovely space for staff and students to sit and enjoy 😎

Boardwalks and bridges can connect us to nature, but poor design can turn them into barriers. Slippery surfaces, uneven boards, or steep inclines hinder access. Thoughtful design and maintenance ensure safe, inclusive outdoor experiences. 🌿💚

What a great time we had at the Deaf-led Earthly Wellbeing Festival! Our very own Wendy was a speaker & introduced one of our favourite tabletop demos.
We explored how water behaves on different surfaces. It's amazing to see people discovering the magic simplicity of the demo for themselves

Global Accessibility Awareness Day!

We believe that access to nature and the outdoors should be available to everyone, regardless of age, ability, or circumstance.

Accessibility isn't just about ramps and signs—it's about creating experiences that are meaningful and enjoyable for all.
