Hoseok met Namjoon first on his very first day in the office. The tall, broad man clumsy stumbled his way into the elevator and almost collided with him, who was trying to step out. He had his hands full with a big, heavy tower of boxes filled with paperwork and couldn’t really see what was in front of him. “I’m so sorry,” Namjoon had said after the semi-collision, rebalancing the boxes in his hands with Hoseok’s help. “I didn’t see you.” “Hard to see anything with those boxes on the way,” Hoseok answered with a chuckle. “What floor are you going to?” “Damn right,” Namjoon said. Then, “Tenth floor, please. And thank you.” Hoseok pressed the button, then shifted back to take a couple boxes from the tower in Namjoon’s grip. Now that they could finally see each other’s faces, Hoseok spotted the polite smile on Namjoon’s face and the soft dimples that came along. “I’m Namjoon by the way. Are you new around here?” “Hoseok, and yes; today’s my first day.” “Oh! Your first day and I’m already giving you a hard time,” the man furrowed his eyebrows, shaking his head in denial like he couldn’t believe his luck. “I’m so sorry, I—” “Nah, please, don’t beat yourself up! I’m glad I was around to help you with these,” Hoseok was quick to say, trying his best to sooth Namjoon. “What are they, if I may ask?” “Just old paperwork that the big boss needs to look at,” Namjoon answered with a sigh. “They’re so messy, I hope I won’t get scolded.”
