Indie-pop duo living in a camper van on a full-time diy tour across the Northeast. Joe- gearhead. Stephanie-booklover. We both love horror movies and treats.
Yes! Both could have shaved maybe 15 minutes off the runtime but I loved the performances. I was so happy to see Josh Hartnett flexing his range.

Totally agree, I haven't seen Penny Dreadful but the rest are all movies I've seen a few times and will rewatch again for sure. H20 is actually in my top 3 favorite Halloween movies in the franchise.

His Blair Witch movie doesn't get enough credit! There are elements I don't like but overall it's really good.

It's between The Thing and Halloween. Probably The Thing by a hair though!

I had a lot of fun with Trap! I know M. Night is not for everyone, especially his later work, but even if it's a bit long and convoluted I think it's much better than it's getting credit for. Also I watched Abigail last night and it would for sure be in my top of 2024.

I had never seen Black Christmas (the original of course) until a couple of years ago, and I don't think any other holiday horror can beat it. Krampus comes very close though!

I didn't know how much I missed this until watching Abigail. No one dies for about 35 minutes, and then it's off to the races. Simply good character, writing and directing with gore that's just a little too excessive in the best way.

It has elements of Sam Raimi (e.g. Drag Me to Hell) and late horror with a group of people stuck in a house that's a very elaborate set (e.g. The Haunting 1999). It has no jump scares-it doesn't need them. The characters and setting have plenty of time to build up before the blood starts to flow.

This is one of my favorite books! Maybe the best music autobiography I've ever read.

I love her...just read The Talented Mr. Ripley this year and the Netflix adaptation series is one of my top tv shows of 2024.
