Not much harder and if you don't really care about your rank there's no reason not to try. You get 2x as many chests: 2 for bronze, 4 for silver, and 6 for gold wins.
You also get 5, 10, and 20 for gold, diamond, and legendary rank. You'll keep advancing if you get at least a bronze win. I think.
