Problem is if Farage and his ilk are likely to have any influence then the EU will refuse if they think brexshit 2 is a possibility however remote

I worked in another jurisdiction where more serious offences with a maximum penalty of 7 years imprisonment were heard by a single judge. It was efficient, tightly regulated, and trials took place usually within 6 months. Appeals went to the high court.
