Maybe if companies like Microsoft would stop pushing RTO it would let people move to more affordable areas further away and take the pressure off of the housing markets in and around dense urban areas

You can disapprove of him on one or more issues, but still overall approve of his presidency.

You can also support the Trump 'brand' while disapproving of how they're handling individual issues.

You can also pin the failures of the administration on his staff, RINOs, etc.

He was at 34 percent after utterly failing to handle a pandemic, and after trying to launch a coup.

Right now, people might not like how he's handling one thing, but very strongly approve of how he's handling another.

My guess is that it will take a large economic crash to get it solidly below 40.

I can't imagine how bad things would need to get in order for them to get that low. His approval has a floor of about 40%.

But will they come up with an actual plan, or just a tax cut, removing the ability for people to sue insurance companies, and removing a bunch of regulations on said industry (to lower costs).

For everyone wondering why it's still so high: for someone to flip their opinion, they would have to admit that they've been wrong for almost the entire past decade. That their family members that stopped talking to them were right all along. That's a tough pill for anyone to swallow.
