They could attempt to use something like CRT beam but good luck explaining an executive that you need to reprogram the entire backend to apply this shader that only like 1 out of 10 people will notice or care about.

I do appreciate how the CRT filter was improved to not only be some dark lines smeared across the screen but actually applies a a softening filter to simulate the effect of pixels blending on a real CRT, a thing most emulators outside Retroarch don’t have, not even Dolphin!

Burst is good added mechanic, OST is good, visuals highly detailed for a Lumines game (although can be distracting - options are available to tone some stuff down) and plays well on Steam Deck. Overall a worthy sequel
