Remember last your when KK was rumored on the trade block and he started going off? Same thing this year. Maybe GMET and RBA just need to keep creating rumors to keep him motivated. For me, the way he has played the last week is 2C

No. I said that I thought the top rated defensemen 5v5 would be Slavin. The conversation was about Orlov and my opinion/worry that Orlov might be part of a trade for JT.

Saw a stat recently that said he was the teams top rated defenseman on at 5v5. I figured it would be Slavin. But with the Russian and Morrow ready to make the jump next year, he could be one of the odd men out and an attractive piece of trade bait for the Canes to get the top 6 player they’re after.

While I “want” the Canes players to be recognized by hockey and their nation as superstars deserving of this honor; I also wouldn’t mind if they all got a nice relaxing break before the final stretch of the regular season.
