I gotta tell you, I feel like my kids don't even lie that often. I just feel disappointment... and a certain sadness, at this point. This is just nonsense. So, let me start with one important factcheck. The president appears not to understand the difference between millions... billions... and trillions... that's actually one of the most important points in all of economics. They're massively different. We are not taking in trillions of dollars in tariff revenue. If we were, we could afford his $2000 tariff checks. We aren't. So therefore, we can't! The other thing that he talks about a lot is the stock market. Now here's a funny thing... if you look at the stock market returns, from say 25 of the biggest countries around the world, the United States ranks round about 22nd right now. So yes, American stocks are up, but guess what... they're up EVEN MORE everywhere else!

I read this while watching a doc on Henry Kissinger. He realized, as a jewish youth in 1938 Germany, that “laws & norms” wouldn’t save anybody. He elisted in USA army and liberated a concentration camp. The DEHUMANIZATION showed him that he needed POWER to protect himself.

The first 50 years of my life were dominated by confusion, fear & doubt. This happens to kids who endure child sex abuse.

1st photo- me (frightened) sitting on my abuser’s lap, for the required family photo.

2nd photo- me (age 14) with no awareness of how my LOST INNOCENCE would shape my future.
Family reunions and holiday gatherings take on a whole new meaning when you have an older family member who has no fear of being caught, alone, with his granddaughter (5 years old, 6 years old, up to 9, 10, 11) No fear of being caught with that little girl he was sexually molesting/grooming. Then, at these traditional gatherings and celebrations… people always want a photo of you together! It’s traumatic. You can see the fear on my face. I am tightly gripping the shoulders of my sister, trying to pull away from him. I vaguely remember this moment. Me at 14 years old. On a road trip with parents. We had a huge, red, Chevrolet, station wagon; packed for a trip to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. I had my pillow, and my sister’s Care Bear. I look happy and innocent here. But it’s a façade. These junior high years were awful. I didn’t know what was wrong with me. I didn’t yet recognize that what had happened to me was abuse. At that time, I had NO comprehension of what I had been through and what it was doing to me. WHY did I have constant, underlying RAGE affecting every part of my young life? Explosive RAGE, anxiety, insomnia, depression, and social isolation… Yet, I had to keep it all in SECRET. As I became sexually active, my life became a chaotic mess of fear, shame, regret, and guilt… It will ruin a person, if they’re not careful.
