The F1 season may have already been decided long before the first car hits the track. The FIA will allow Mercedes and Red Bull to use their controversial engines for the 2026 season. Hettinger Racing announced today that it has purchased the points from Cope Family Racing's No. 70 O'Reilly Auto Parts team and will begin fielding a single car for the 2026 season. Hettinger Racing will field the No. 5 Ford Mustang beginning at Daytona in February with Roush Yates power under the hood. Joe Williams Jr. has been announced as the crew chief for the 5 car; however, no driver has been announced as of yet.

The Pinnacle Racing Group began fielding cars in the ARCA Menards Series in 2023. Since then, the team has amassed 25 victories across the three ARCA series and the ARCA Championship in 2025 with Brendan Queen.
