For today’s sketch let me present you with Styracosaurus

Styracosaurus lived during the Late Cretaceous in North America. The arrangement of very long, 4-6 spikes protruding from its relatively short frill and long nasal horn is characteristic of this species

Today let me sketch one of the largest theropod #dinosaurs, the enormous Giganotosaurus carolinii

Giganotosurus lived during the latest part of the Cretaceous in South America. It had a long, tall and narrow skull with prominent crests. These crests were rugose and had numerous ridges

Let’s sketch the magnificent beast that is Deinocheirus!

Deinocheirus mirificus was a huge ornithomimosaur that lived during the Late Cretaceous in Asia. This herbivorous dinosaur had huge arms with large claws that were probably primarily used for digging or gathering plants

(If you are at a cold place)

One good thing about cold weather is that it makes it much easier to observe mammals during the day.

Like this beautiful Coyote (Canis latrans) and Virginia Opossum (Didelphis virginiana) I found

Two more amazing Triassic reptiles. In this case from the Late Triassic Keuper Group of Europe. The huge phytosaur Nicrosaurus kapfii and one of the earliest plesiosaurs, Rhaeticosaurus mertensi

Part of my book of Triassic Tetrapods (currently in preparation)

Even at a time full of strange and enigmatic reptiles, Helveticosaurus was one of the most bizarre species in the Triassic. It specifically lived during the middle Triassic in what is now Europe

I had very good views of several American Barn Owls (Tyto furcata) a couple of days ago. You can also hear one of the pellets I found. I also observed them hunting.

Selected species of Dimetrodon.

Here are various sketches showing some species of Dimetrodon, which was a quite diverse genus during the Early Permian. The genus includes about a dozen of species

I just think everyone needs to see Stegosaurus every now and then. Makes everyone happier 😊 This is an illustration of my licensing library and is available for non exclusive licensing.

Sorry I have been a bit MIA and could not be present on social media when the series premiered but I have been very busy moving to a new house, traveling and Thanksgiving. All kind of at the same time! So my bandwidth was very limited
