The Every Student Succeeds Act, passed by Congress in 2015, expressly forbids federal interference in things like curriculum and teaching materials.

While Trump signed an executive action in late January "ending radical indoctrination in K-12 schooling," the federal government, including the U.S. Department of Education, has little control over what is taught in local schools.

Besides preserving the safety of our county, he promotes it as a wonderful safe place to visit with beautiful weather and friendly people.

He recognizes that Santa Cruz County has the largest ports of entry with Mexico of any county in Arizona and he works with government, industry, and social groups on both sides of the border to promote a strong, safe, economic and cultural relationship with Mexico.
